The Louisiana State Police is partnering with the DEA for National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 30th.
It's an effort to help local residents rid their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs.
Medications may be brought for disposal between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on April 30 to the Louisiana State Police troop location
nearest you. This service is free and anonymous and is a great opportunity for those who have accumulated unwanted or unused
prescription drugs to safely dispose of them.
For Year Round Prescription Medication Disposal
Why can’t I just flush leftover medicine or throw it out with the trash?

How Are We Doing?
East Baton Rouge Parish has steadily increased recycling collections, meeting or exceeding our state-mandated 25% waste reduction goal since 1994. Our goal is to continue to increase the
percentage of materials diverted from our landfill. You can help by recycling at the curb, reusing what you can, buying products with less
packaging, composting leaves and yard waste or using them for mulch, and buying products made from recycled materials and that can be recycled.
