How Are We Doing?

East Baton Rouge Parish has steadily increased recycling collections, meeting or exceeding our state-mandated 25% waste reduction goal since 1994. Our goal is to continue to increase the percentage of materials diverted from our landfill. You can help by recycling at the curb, reusing what you can, buying products with less packaging, composting leaves and yard waste or using them for mulch, and buying products made from recycled materials and that can be recycled.
