St. Vincent De Paul Dining Room

The St. Vincent de Paul Dining Room, established in 1982, is the largest mass-feeding facility in the Baton Rouge area. Originally, the Dinning Room operated from a house on South Twenty- first Street, but moved to the larger 220 St. Vincent de Paul Place in 1984. In 1997 we served 81,000 meals and in our 16 years of service we have served over 1,000,000 meals. Hot, nutritious meals are served by caring volunteers seven days a week from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Currently, the Dining Room serves a average of about 200 meals daily; however, this figure jumps to 300 at the end of every month.

Volunteers are needed daily to serve food and help clean up. Private donations are the Dining Room's main funding source, and volunteers are the lifeline. If you would like to volunteer please call (225) 383-7837.
