O'Brien House

O'Brien House is a Halfway house for homeless persons with alcohol and substance abuse problems. The facility provides transitional housing for up to six months to homeless men and women. Supportive Housing Program funds assisted with the complete renovations of a donated building to provide expanded capacity from 36 to 62 beds for persons with alcohol and substance abuse problems. SHP funds provide assistance with basic operations costs. Services include alcohol and substance abuse counseling and life skills training. Grant funds awarded under the 1996 SHP have been expended. The project received three year renewal funding under the 2001 SHP for the continued delivery of services.
