Urban Restoration Enhancement Corporation (UREC) manages a renovated property of Urban Meadows, of a multi-family community. The principal aim of the Home Sharing and Adopt-a-Family Programs is to eliminate some of the existing barriers to safe, decent and affordable housing for adult women and families with children in transition from the temporary facilities. SHP funds are used to cover, per participant, leasing costs as well as minimal costs for administration and related overhead. Grant funds awarded under the 1997 SHP have been expended. The project received a one year renewal funding under the 2002 SHP for the continued delivery of services.
