Be Downtown!

The Downtown Business Association (DBA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the growth and success of Downtown Baton Rouge. The DBA works closely with the public Downtown Development District.

The DBA membership volunteer their time to support the continued success of Downtown Baton Rouge through a number initiatives.

The current officers include President Gayle Carnahan from Nu Vieux Hospitality, Vice President Mike Odom of the Baton Rouge Area Chamber, Treasurer Debbie Mire with Capital One Bank, and Secretary Tress Fereday from Hollywood Casino Baton Rouge.

The Live After Five concert series is just one of the many events spearheaded by the group to help make downtown a draw and a destination for locals and tourists. Also, the organization works closely with the BR Area Convention & Visitor’s Bureau on projects such at the LSU Game-Day Shuttle and visiting tour groups.

At the quarterly meetings, members – and potential members – are encouraged to gather and to discuss ways to join together to further the development of Downtown.

There are four committees for members to join including Live After Five, Marketing, Membership, and Special Projects.
