Mayor’s bond issue includes key Downtown Projects Mayor President “Kip” Holden includes key downtown projects in the upcoming bond issue.  The downtown projects are the economic development component of the Mayor’s proposal.   
 
River Center Expansion, hotels and two garages. The $144 (M) investment will yield approximately $100 (M) in private sector investment (Armada Hoffler).  Components include a 800 space garage with a select service hotel, expansion of the River Center with a full service hotel and the construction of an additional 1300 space garage.  The projects will create over 1,900 construction jobs and over 250 permanent jobs...
