East Baton Rouge Parish Mosquito Abatement District

Function:
Protect the Health and Safety of the Community by reducing the population of mosquitos and rodents and overseeing the 1.2 mil property tax for mosquito and rodent abatement. Parish Health Unit and Farm Agent appointees are selected from a list of 3 names submitted by each entity. Meets every 3 months and/or special session.

LA Constitution of 1974, Article VI, Section 19;L.R.S.33:7721 ET SEQ.; Parish Ordinance 5275, adopted January 10, 1979. Amend Section 3 of Parish Ordinance 5275 and Louisiana Revised Statutes 33:7721.
