NEW SATURDAY ADOPTION HOURS IN 2009

The East Baton Rouge Parish Animal & Rescue Control Center will be open for adoptions only, on Saturday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. The Center will also perform mid-month, Saturday remote adoptions, at select locations, using the mobile adoption trailer. The shelter is located at 2680 Progress Road on the Baton Rouge Metro-Airport property.

Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. 
Saturday's, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Closed on holidays, holiday weekends, and special situations!

service called Petfinders.Org (On their site, select type of animal from the left-hand column of options.)

Disclaimer:  The East Baton Rouge Parish Animal Control & Rescue Center has plenty of good animals for adoption.  As animals get adopted, others take their place.  Not all animals entering the shelter are suitable for adoption however.

Breeds and individual animals change everyday – far too quickly to stay absolutely current.  Please be patient and understand that a pet may be reclaimed or adopted, and may not be available before you arrive at the shelter.  It might also have a change in temperament or become sick during its stay at the shelter, thus making it unavailable.
