kind of classes do you offer?
Baton Rouge City Court offers
various educational and rehabilitative courses
- address problems associated with alcohol and substance abuse
- encourage behavior
modification in anger management and domestic violence situations
- foster an awareness of
appropriate and effective decision making
- provide literacy
- promote safe driving
in an effort to reduce accidents, deaths, and injuries that result
from impaired or careless driving.
Classes are currently held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 p.m.–7 p.m.
and Saturdays from 7:45 a.m.–3 p.m. The cost varies by class and
ranges from $30 to $105, depending on the class is taken. You may

I register someone else for one of your classes (spouse, son, etc.)?
No. The person to be enrolled in the class must sign the court
documents for enrollment in all classes offered by the Court.
you offer classes in other cities or states?
Court Services does not offer any
classes in other cities or states; however, we do accept credentials
from other courts and/or state approved schools in other cities or
I take a class here even though my ticket is from out of town?
Court Services will allow defendants to take one of our classes even
if you are from out of town.
can I get on the list to start a program for the Court?
you have a program you wish to offer to the Court you may contact the
Director of Court Services and provide all the information you have,
along with your credentials. An appointment will be scheduled to
provide you an opportunity to present your program for the Court.
