Mayor Holden unveils new EmployBR brand at Spring Job Fair

Mayor-President Melvin L. “Kip” Holden today announced a major rebranding of the Office of the Mayor-President Baton Rouge Business and Career Solutions Center.

Mayor Holden unveiled the new EmployBR brand while welcoming veterans and employees to the Center’s 2014 Spring Job Fair this morning.

The Mayor said the agency's mission is to cultivate a skilled workforce through employment and training services that result not only in job placement for the jobseeker, but also in a skilled workforce for regional employers.

Mayor Holden said he believes a successful new brand will foster a deep, unconditional loyalty and connection in the hearts and minds of prospective customers and employers. EmployBR represents a re-branding initiative that is certain to increase public awareness and re-spark interest in the valuable employment and training resources and services available to our citizens, he said.

The EmployBR brand not only personifies the agency, but also lends clarity to its role in the community, solidifying its identity as an employment agency, rather than an unemployment office, the Mayor said. Baton Rouge is an ever-expanding city replete with new businesses and booming economic growth. The EmployBR brand will grow as well, keeping pace with the employment resources necessary for keeping our citizens employed.
