Payroll distribution for City Parish employees is as follows:
- Checks will be released Thursday September 4, 2008 for DPW, Fire,
Police, Library and EMS. Representatives from these departments can go
to the Governmental Building Treasurer's Office between 11:30am and 1pm.
Checks for all other City Parish employees will be released Friday September
5, 2008 between 8am and noon.
- For DPW employees, checks will be available at the DPW Business Office
- For Police, checks will be distributed from the Headquarters Command
post.
- For Fire, follow regular check pickup procedures.
- For Library, checks will be distributed at the Main Library (Goodwood)
Shipping Room from 9am-11am Friday, September 5th.
- For EMS, follow regular check pickup procedures or call Business Manager

Mayor-President Melvin L. "Kip" Holden announces that all non-essential City
Parish employees should report to work on Friday, September 5, 2008, if their
departments are housed in the Governmental Building. The only exception being
the Parish Attorney's Office. According to Mary Roper, all Parish Attorney
employees should report to work on Monday, September 7th. All other
non-essential employees should contact their respective department heads to
determine if conditions in the building housing their departments permit their
return on Friday.
Non-essential Library employees should stay home until told to report to
their library or a guest library.
All Head Start central office staff, all Head Start center supervisors,
building attendants and food service staff are requested to report to the
central office on Plank Road at their regular reporting time for instructions
and additional information. All other DHDS (Department of Human
Development and Services) will report on Monday at their regular time.
Regular Council meeting agendas will be available on September 5, 2008.
