What are your hours of operation?

Head Start Administration
8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday-Friday

Head Start Centers
8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.,  Monday-Friday

Southern University Head Start
7 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday-Friday

What are the requirements for Head Start?
Must be age eligible.  The family must be income eligible.

Do you provided extended day services?
At Southern University Head Start Center Only!
Centers hours are: 7 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday-Friday.

When does enrollment begin for Head Start?
The application process begins in January, and enrollment is in August.

Does Head Start provide transportation?
Yes, determined by center boundaries.

Does my child have to attend the Head Start in his/her area?
No, transportation is provided only within center boundaries.
