A New Inspiration (ANI) was incorporated in August of 1989. It is involved in the delivery of safe and extended care services to females 18 years of age and older, who are either homeless, battered women returning to society, recovering alcoholics, and/or substance users for over a period of time. Room and board is provided for a maximum of 9 to 12 months, including 24 hour services. Examples of these services include: academic and vocational training, employment counseling, tutorial services, and adult education instruction for persons pursuing a GED. It is required that all clients participate in the AA and NA individual and group counseling, and employability development tutorial. ESGP provides assistance with payment of operations expenses for the shelter.
