Passages Transitional Living-Supervised Apartments

The Youth Oasis Passages Transitional Housing Program is part of a community collaborative operating under the incorporation, Baton Rouge Alliance for Transitional Living. Passages is designed to ameliorate the conditions resulting from homelessness among young adults in Greater Baton Rouge, Region 2 area. Supportive Housing Program funding enables this project to provide a stable living environment for a period of up to 24 months to homeless youths between the ages of 16 and 21.

Services are provided to youth who are exiting the social system who would become homeless because of a lack of independent skills and experience in daily living activities. Supportive  Housing Program funding assists with the provision of supportive services and basic operations expenses. Services include,  case management to assist youth with basic life skills, educational advancement, interpersonal skills, job preparation, mental health care, and physical health care.
